This Two-Day excursion to and from Machu Picchu is truly a remarkable experience, taking you on a remarkable journey along the renowned Inca Trail with breath-taking mountain views, angelic flora and fauna, and historical archaeological sites.

We are delighted to invite you to embark on this incredible adventure through history, which to this day testifies the wisdom, strength and courage of the ancient Incas. Explore the much-celebrated Inca Trail, an extraordinary network of paths constructed over 600 years ago which connects many countries including: Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and Argentina.

TRIP DETAILS

Day 1: Cusco à Ollantaytambo à KM 104 à Machu Picchu

Your journey starts around 4:00am with our private transport picking you up from your accommodation and taking you on an hour and a half journey to Ollantaytambo Train Station. Here you will board a train to Chachabamba, located at KM 104 of the Inca Trail, marking the start of your hike.

This 13km Trail guides you through the gorgeous Peruvian sierra, passing through several remarkable archaeological sites and other natural hidden gems. A break for lunch at Wiñaywayna allows for some time to rest, refuel and absorb the beautiful surroundings of Mother Nature. Ultimately you will reach Machu Picchu at through the iconic Sun Gate, a picture-perfect spot that will leave you in awe of Machu Picchu and the beautiful Andean mountain range it sits in whilst the sun sets.

Our journey then continues as we descend from Machu Picchu by bus to Aguas Calientes, a small town situated below Machu Picchu, where you will have a delicious dinner before retiring to a cosy hostel for the night.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes à Machu Picchu à Aguas Calientes à Cusco

Our second day of adventures begins in the early hours of the morning with a hearty hotel breakfast. At 5am we will take one of the first buses up to Machu Picchu, allowing for a peaceful trip to the ancient citadel away from the crowds.

From here your tour of the remarkable Machu Picchu will commence, taking you through the architectural and historical splendour that defines this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, you will return to Aguas Calientes by footpath, with the opportunity to explore the town, Machu Picchu museum and all it has to offer, as well as indulging in a leisurely lunch before boarding the train to Ollantaytambo. Our private transport will then take you back to your accommodation in Cusco, marking the end of your 2-day adventure.
